One complaint? Ban it.

Just finished reading about yet another case of "one complaint leading to a ban". Bream in Gloucestershire has had to remove it's centuries old maypole because one person complained it was an eyesore! So many times over the past few years I have read/heard about communities losing church bells, flags being removed or signs being taken down because one miserable bastard has complained. In this day of almost instant communications, I think no action should be taken unless at least 10% of the local population makes a formal complaint and then it should be discussed at public meetings - with the complainants being named - before a decision is made.

I agrre with you David but it should be at least 40% not a measaly 10%
