Evening chaps

May I, on behalf of the committee congratulate Harvey Andrews on winning the U25\'S tournament and Peter Thomas on winning the Chairman\'s Cup. Both were worthy winners and am sure you, who attended, would agree.

Commiserations/congratulations to the runners up, Jayden Campfield and Dean Lower, both of which played well and contributed to great finals.

Lastly, can I thank all who attended tonight, your support of the league is greatly appreciated. The league could not continue without people like you, so again we as a committee thank you.

Hi chaps

May I on behalf of the committee congratulate mike and Tyrone for winning the pairs knockout last night. High quality final where they defeated Jason and Adam.

A good turn out, was 36 pairs that entered the tournament, which I hope has finally put to bed the \'is too far to travel\' comments I have heard regarding the Waun hosting tournaments. May I thank you all that attended which made it a good (and long) evening.

Hi chaps
We have experienced problems with tournament venues, so below is the revised list of tournaments and dates

7th pairs in Waun
14th free week.
21st U25\'S and chairman\'s cup in lib
28th singles in Taibach
4th Sept Legends in Quins.

League will then start on 11th Sept. AGM is still 24th in Seaside Social.

I hope that is all clear, any questions please ask.

Another error, lions will be known as \'Grand old Lions\' and not \'Grand Lions\'. Sorry Steve, I didn\'t hear you properly and missed out the old in my book.

Hi Chaps
Correction to the meeting minutes. Point 5, the singles will be one leg 701 or 801 (just in process of checking) with double to start.
My mistake, forgot the summer league is different to winter.
Hope I am forgiven.

Hi chaps

I Hope I find you all well and enjoying the nice weather.

Below are the minutes from the meeting held on Monday 3rd August 2026. A few points to note, but I wont spoil the suspence for you here before reading.

Matters have risen lately which have been covered in previous meetings, so all I can say is to keep yourselves up to date with relevant matters. I do try to put as much detail as I can into these online minutes.

2. Russell Collins

It was deeply saddening that this week we lost another one of our darts family. Russell Collins [Alwyn/Crows brother] lost his battle after a long illness.

Russell played for Lib for many years before having to leave for personal reasons. On behalf of everyone in the league may I extend our deepest sympathy to Alwyn and his family at this sad time.

3. League final table:

On behalf of all at the meeting, may we congratulate the Waun club on winning the league and to the Lib A for coming second.

It was pointed out by the chairman that the Waun are worthy winners and the team to aspire to. But with the runners up losing only one game in the season and the winners losing 3, It was suggested that this maybe something to discuss in the upcoming AGM.

4. Unfulfilled fixtures:

There was a cancelled game between Taibach C and the Quins towards the end of the season. For matters/mitigating factors discussed within the meeting the following decision was passed:

Taibach C - 10 point deduction and a 20 pounds fine suspended for a year.

Quins - 20 pounds fine suspended for a year.

Rule 14 of the league rules specified the fine, but the meeting took into account the previous good conduct of both teams so the decision to suspend the fine was made. Any future matters requiring disciplinary measures by either/both teams then the fine will be enacted.
