I hope all are well. I have posted the minutes of the committee meeting held on 02/03/2026 which are detailed in the below messages (5 points). Have a read as are some points which directly affect teams/league. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please direct them through your Reps. If there are more pressing issues the committee can be contacted via the usual channels.

1. Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting were read as correct. Seconded by Cliff (Waun)

2. Online website.

Many thanks to most teams who are entering the requested information being added online. There has only been one team not entering the information, this is Margam Ducks. It was stated in the meeting that they have personally been given the required tuition on how to complete the online site information, so now have no excuse.

It was voted for in the meeting that Margam Ducks recieve a warning from the committee, which will be carried forward into the next season also (summer+winter). It was also voted that the introduction of fines for non-compliance be introduced starting in the next winter league. This will go as follows:
miss one week - warning
2-4 weeks - £5/week
5-7 weeks - £10/week
8-10 weeks - £20/week
And so on .....

3. Presentation night:

In the last meeting Reps were asked to canvas teams as to their views on the presentation night. A vote was held during the meeting resulting in the overwhelming result that the event should be cancelled.

This does save the committee alot of work, as it takes time and effort to arrange these events, which we didnt mind as we felt it was a great opportunity for players to showcase their great play during the season.

Just to be open and transparent, the cancellation of this event will undoubtedly have an effect of the leagues financial operating procedures. The committee will have a close look at this and any changes that may affect teams financially will be brought up in the meetings to Reps.

We will also state when/were any prizes will be given to to league/compettion winners.

4. Competitions/tournaments:

The attendance at the split tournaments has been quite poor. It was proposed to split the divisions into seperate tournaments in the AGM, but unfortunately this has not worked given the attendance figures. This has not been fair on both the hosting club or the committee the lack of committment shown by players.

So, The decision has been made to revert back to tournaments being held on one night each, with both divisions being in the hat together.

5. Any other business:

* Quins requested a postponement of the game with the Dragon on 13/03/2026 due to the unavailability of players on that evening with other committments. Request was granted, the game will now be played on 10/04/2026. Dragon has confirmed the exchange of fixture dates.

* Taibach \'c\' requested the exploration of having a league charity night. interest was expressed by Reps, so this idea will be explored further.

* Taibach \'B\' has submitted an idea for the legends cup format, this will be explored if is achievable on the night and will be given to Reps for team approval.

* This years summer league will commence directly after the tournaments have finished, commencement date is 24/04/2026

* The next committee meeting will take place on 13/04/2026 due to a bank holiday being on the first monday in April

Just a reminder to all teams that if they wish to be included in the summer league then team names have to be put forward by Reps in the next committee meeting.

This will enable us to complete a fixture list to save any delay in starting the summer league. Let\'s not be in the same position as we were at the start of this winter league.

The pairs tournaments have now concluded. On behalf of the committee can I express many congratulations to Josh and Sean (railway), Div 2 winners, also Gary and Darren (lib A), Div 1 winners.
Over the 2 weeks there has been 21 teams then 25 teams. This is a very mediocre turnout given that we have 19 teams in the league. Discussions will be had in the next committee meeting about how we move forward.
