Hi Chaps
Just a quick update regarding the complaint made about the level of noise in Murphy\'s. I was there last Friday representing the Lib and the Committee. There was a Kareoke on during the game, but it is my opinion that the level of sound (that night) wasn\'t overbearing. I discussed the matter with my team, who were all ok with the sound.
I also spoke with Murphy\'s captain, explaining the situation and stipulated that although last Friday was ok, the sound level cannot exceed what I was hearing. I told him that the verbal warning from earlier in the year still stands and this complaint is noted and possibly used in any further complaints.
I hope this is satisfactory to all and any further questions/concerns can be raised by Reps in the next committee meeting.

I hope all are well and enjoying the recent good weather, until today.

Please see below the minutes of the Committee meeting held on 01/06/2026. Not alot to cover on this occasion, but just take note of the tournament dates, hoefully we will have a better turn out than the winter league.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask and we will do our best to provide the answer to you.

1. There were no minutes recorded from the previous meeting, so nothing to second on this occasion.

2. The torunament dates at the end of the summer league are as follows:

07/08/26 - Pairs
14/08/26 - Singles
21/08/26 - U25\'s/Chairmans cup
28/08/26 - Legends Cup

Reps have been requested to approach clubs to ascertain availability for the nights stated.

Regarding the Legends cup, there is little regard for it being a 6\'s tournament so other options are still requested from anyone with any idea\'s. Let your Rep know and he/she/other can bring it to the meeting.

3. The committee can confirm that the Taibach Ducks have now been fined £10 for not entering scores/data on the website in a prompt mannor. This is an increasing scale of sanctions, so if this continues then the fines will increase. This was an agreed measure documented in the minutes of the March 2026 committee meeting.

4. The committee would like to thanks all teams in entering all team details/scores promptly on the website. Now it is working as it should I am sure everyone can see the benefits of it. Reps were asked if there are any further concerns or problems, but all stated there were none.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

• Members are all invited to post messages on the site message board, but can they please spell check and context what they are about to enter. We recently had a message stating someone bit someone else, causing John Morgan to request further information. This will save any confusion.

• Just to confirm that team sheets are no longer required, all scores can be entered on the website.

• Simon – Red Lion – Under 16’s are no longer allowed in the Red Lion after 9pm. Requested that the committee approach the Red Lion to confirm that this is a permanent measure.

• Simon – Red Lion – Made an official complaint to the committee regarding the noise level in Murphy’s bar when the Red Lion played there. Was a tribute band and Karaoke going from approx. 7:30pm. Committee to visit Murphy’s again regarding the issue, which was addressed several months ago when a verbal warning was issued.
