So far I've lived here, it's been absolutely wonderful and Gervais is a great place to love in. It has mild weather, such as rain, sun, almost no snow, and what I like about it is that it's small, everyone cares for everyone, there's never any crime at all, great people to meet. I've lived here for all my 15 years and it is a great town to be in. Much has changed, many mini-grocery stores have closed, new houses have been, there's not much to do, luckily ther is a bus transportation system here, Woodburn is very close by for those who want to go shopping, and Salem/Brooks is only south of here so you can do some serious shopping over there, we have a good view of Mt. Hood, the schools are great, we ARE the #1 district in the state, and the #1 English teaching districts in the State too. I'm happy I live here and will keep living in this perfect little town for a really long time.

I have lived in Gervais since I was 4 years old. I now bought a house here 3 years ago. I think us as the community should be more invovled with it. We need to stop the crime, theft, and I think what the Gervais police need to do is focus more on our streets and crime problem rather than giving out to tickes! I think they are profiling most of the people they pull over which is racist! A year after I bought my house it got burglarized and "nobody" saw. I think we should hand out more flyiers and encourage our community to be invovled and attend city meetings. Its time for a change! I believe Obama is on the right track but he can't do it all by himself we all need to put some of our time and work as well to make it a better and safer place to live for our kids and neighbors!
