The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

a wee dander down along the towpath, a duke at Hilden school and then a few biffs in Weatherspoons. A pity we could not end up with a fish supper in Genesis in Market Square to make the treat complete.

Donald, That sounds brilliant, no one ever replaced Genesis really did they, I often remember coming out of the pictures putting our money together and getting a fish supper, flooding it with vinegar, by the time you reached the Castle Gardens the paper was sodden and we were fighting over the last chip, Regards

wasn´t that chip shop owned by Miller who also owned a sweetie shop up the road? Duncan was the frye,r he was the son-in-law if I remember correctly.

i think this came up before? the fryer was apparantly the son -in -law and was a keen lambeg drummer?

Tom /Donald, His name was Bob Duncan and he was married to The oldest daughter of the Miller family,and you are right Tom he played the Lambeg drum on Bow Street regularly, it's still going strong under new ownership as it is a magnet for the school opposite and of course it would have a much more varied menu today than in Miller's days Regards Ted
