Re: Sorry, am new to this format, my Bio

Terry I advised Andrew to do this and maybe it is already submitted now, will know in a day or two if you have it posted. I met Andrew on another website in late 2008 and at that time he was in a huge quandry as to what to look at doing and especially without insurance and much money.
His botched biopsy session is very noteable, first case I knew of whereby the doc didn't get it finished and Andrew found out the doc had to be rushed off elsewhere during start of biopsies, so this 'teaching hospital' has maybe an intern or somebody apparently less qualified at the helm...bent the second needle(unsample therefore) and aborted doing the remaining likely 10 more biopsies. This is just the beginning of lousy medical analysis in his case, which we are friends and talked about alot of this.

Andrew do you wish to add discussion herein about finding out about Paactusa.org (advocacy group) and there help in getting you for analysis by Dr. Fred Lee and then further things that happened and how you got to find a Michigan oncologist whom helped you the most, even though you were techincally not even his patient, yet. You will probably post that at 'experiences/mentor' list, but might also elaborate on some of that herein...if you wish to add such. Your journey and multiple opinions and findings is a real eye opener to say it mildly. Glad you came here and probably can help others without insurance and money to find out what is possible.

This oncologist doctor told you that the catheter would likely fall out on its own using casodex awhile, turned out that is exactly what happened in your case...that was additionally interesting and I have the same oncologist whom I am pleased with confirms he knows things.

Re: Sorry, am new to this format, my Bio

Andrew sent in his story on Friday. I'm way behind with the updates - backed up to Sunday last week and with the Grand Final of the Aussie Rules being played today there won't be much work done until tomorrow!!

I'll get there in the end, but it may take a while....
