The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.
Yesterday I was in the Mall. I had been at the optician's earlier to have my glasses adjusted; the optician's is very close to the Mall so I couldn't resist going in for a look around.
As I walked along a dark haired girl passed close beside me, walking in the opposite direction. As she passed I thought she looked familiar. I looked back and realised she was Donald Watters' wife, Phyllis. I then of course spotted the big hulk of a man himself with her. I went after them and we had a bit of a yarn. They both look extremely well and told me they were returning to Germany today. I suppose short and sweet is what you would call our meeting, but it was nice to see someone you're not expecting to see.
As I left Donald, I told him it was lovely to see him again even though HE WAS NOT EXACTLY JOHNNY DEPP.
Donald, hope you and Phyllis had a safe journey back.
