Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Bell's & Mc Candless Family's

Pat & Frank. Re a Jim Bell from Hillsborough.
Leslie Bell the builder from The Borough had a son called Jim Bell. He went to Australia in the 50's or 60's and, is still there living in the Adelaid area.

Rex & Cromie Mc Candless lived on what became John Law's dairy farm on the road between Culcavey cross roads & Hook's Corner. Desmond Law [John's Son ] operates a trucking business there now.
I only knew off David Mc Candless. Who Frank speaks off. But you are right about Rex & Cromie being inventors in their time.
While i am on the Forum .Oline & I would like to wish all the Exiles and others who are still in the OLD SOD. A VERY MERRY AND SAFE XMAS & NEW YEAR.
