Has tidying your CV and LinkedIn actually helped land interviews?
Hey everyone,
I’m in the middle of a job hunt and have been wondering something: how much does a neat CV and a polished LinkedIn profile actually help? I used to think the CV did the heavy lifting, but lately I’ve noticed recruiters checking profiles more often — and your LinkedIn summary can make you sound human, not just a list of bullet points.
Out of curiosity I tried a cv and linkedin writing service recently to get an outside eye on both my documents and profile. What surprised me was how small tweaks — a clearer headline, a crisper summary — made messages and connection requests feel more natural. I started getting more replies within a week.
Would love to hear from you:
Do you focus more on the CV or the LinkedIn profile when applying?
Have you ever paid for help with both (CV + LinkedIn)? Was it worth it?
If you hire someone, what result would convince you it was good value (interviews, recruiter reaches out, better role offers)?
Thanks — I’m keen to hear real experiences, tips, or even services you’d recommend.
