Molester gets 1,330 year sentence

HEMET, Calif., July 1 (UPI) --

A California sex offender who berated the judge in court has been sentenced to a record 1,330 years in prison.

Horace Mann Williams, 44, was convicted earlier this year of molesting two Hemet girls between 1999 and 2005. On Tuesday, he criticized his trial, the prosecutor, his defense attorney and Judge Sherrill Ellsworth before being sentenced, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reported.

"In this case, I've been convicted of doing something when I was in prison," Williams claimed. "You continue to sit there and go along with this good ol' boy routine. That's just sad."

Williams pleaded guilty in 1992 to molesting a 5-year-old Riverside girl, according to court records. After release, he was allowed to babysit his new victims after befriending their mothers, officials said.
