(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Re: US Immigration Policy Via Idiot Trump

Mauri, it’s like we are members of two different churches, you seem to attend the COWMB and I attend The COWHN. You are conjuring up sermons of What Might Be and I am attending Flip Wilson’s Church Of What’s Happening Now !

In other words, your argument is based on your predictions, while I was just stating a contemporary situation.

As you probably know, Rachael Notley is the NDP Premier of Alberta and as such, wants to build a pipeline to transport Alberta’s Oil to the nearest coast, for export. This should be no problem, as the pipeline must go through BC which has also an NDP Premier, one John Horgan.

But...... poor John did not get enough seats when elected to form a majority government and he had to form an unholy coalition with 4 Green Party Members. These people were adamantly against this Kinder Morgan Pip-A-Lineee. Therefor poor John, in order to retain his premiership, had to toady to these 4 oddballs. This meant running counter to his his buddy and yours, Rachael. Strange Party, can’t even accommodate themselves !

I related the foregoing to show the kind of politics you profess to support so it is no wonder that you have a perverse view of US politics.

Re: US Immigration Policy Via Idiot Trump

Fortycoats, Whats going on in BC & Alberta re the pipeline is not unusual in Politics, are there not quite a few Republicans opposed to some of Trump's moves especially the seperation of kids from their parents and despite all his blustering has now had to back down? Enough said??? Mauri
