Hi Tom, I'm afraid I don't agree with your statement that unemployment has decreased in the US under Trump's policies. In fact if he maintains the tariff's on imported goods from Canada and Europe also China and I would assume Australia the retalatory measures taken by these countries is going to create mass unemployment in the USA especially in the Car industry.

There is a movement underway in the US led by one of "Trumps" Republican Senators to have him impeached, though it wouldn't surprise me if somebody does not bump him off before that??. Mauri

Tom, I forgot to comment about Australia's unblievable policy of interning illegal immigrants on Manus Island. I have been to Manus Island in fact was based there on the frigate HMAS Murchison way back in 1955 and prior to that visited on the carrier HMAS Sydney on our way to Korea.

The place was and is a sweat box and to lock innocent people up in a detention camp there without any modern conveniences is just bloody cruel.

Hi Tom, seems some of us had better stick to sea stories, at least most of these appear to have had some basis in truth. Anyone saying that the US is not enjoying an all time low in unemployment is either uninformed or has a political bias that will not allow them to admit it.

This turn around in unemployment, so unlike the Obama years, is a direct result of Trump’s lowering the crippling taxes imposed by previous administrations.

Negative views regarding President Trump are those expressed by the mainstream media on this side of the pond and can be read or heard on any Trump hating outlet and echoed by those who have a definite Far Left or Socialist bias.

These publications or stations spew the same socialist drivel we have been accustomed to for almost a decade now. Tax the rich, free rides for all, entitlement, Open Borders, Big Government will look after you and your offspring even if you entered the country illegally.

It has been an uphill battle but Trump is gradually draining the swamp and making America Great Again. The true depth of the Deep State and its pervasion of the FBI and DOJ is gradually being exposed. Looking forward to his second term as POTUS.

As you probably know, Rachael Notley is the NDP Premier of Alberta and as such, wants to build a pipeline to transport Alberta’s Oil to the nearest coast, for export. This should be no problem, as the pipeline must go through BC which has also an NDP Premier, one John Horgan.

But...... poor John did not get enough seats when elected to form a majority government and he had to form an unholy coalition with 4 Green Party Members. These people were adamantly against this Kinder Morgan Pip-A-Lineee. Therefor poor John, in order to retain his premiership, had to toady to these 4 oddballs. This meant running counter to his his buddy and yours, Rachael. Strange Party, can’t even accommodate themselves !

I related the foregoing to show the kind of politics you profess to support so it is no wonder that you have a perverse view of US politics.

Fortycoats, Whats going on in BC & Alberta re the pipeline is not unusual in Politics, are there not quite a few Republicans opposed to some of Trump's moves especially the seperation of kids from their parents and despite all his blustering has now had to back down? Enough said??? Mauri
