Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

June

"June is bustin' out all over" in some places but not here. This month so far has been disappointing. We haven't had much sun although it's been warm on most days. Today and tomorrow's forecast is good. SO, I may get out and finish off the painting, or at least get some more done. The painter has been and gone. He arrived on Wednesday morning and did the undercoat on the gates and garage. Yesterday he finished off with the gloss. It all looks very nice and smart. I must confess the red colour I chose is very vibrant. I always choose red but this one is particularly striking. No doubt a good shower or two will soften it. Trouble is, when you start painting, either inside or out, it shows up what else needs to be done. There's no end. Anyhow, the painting won't start itself so I'd better get showered, dressed, breakfast made and OUT. "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go". Wonder is there a hidden meaning behind this song.?
