We just wanted to stop by to say thanks for sharing your
memories of Lizzie Nicholson, her shop, and her family.
We have since made contact with her granddaughter Joan living
up on the north coast and with her grandson David in England and
several cousins. Lizzie's husband John (Jack) Nicholson was the soldier in
the photo in her shop and now our quest is to find his military info and
if he was with the Irish Rifles. John had a brother James, whose granddaughters we have heard from and they have family in Lisburn & Dromore. They even sent us a photo of Lizzie! It's all been very exciting for us as we believe both John & James
were brothers to William Henry Nicholson who came to Canada and hence
here we are his granddaughter and great daughter finding our Lisburn roots!
