Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Looking back

Already 'looking back' includes many thoughts of entries on these pages.
Before I forget, I must add an excerpt from a movie that constantly enters my mind. The movie is The Jolson Story. I am particularly drawn to the moment in the theatre when the young Al or Asa sings On The Banks Of The Wabash. I checked this out on YouTube and was astonished to find it can still move me to tears.

Re: Looking back

Dabbler music can take us back many years. I can associate a tune or song to my age at the time and what part of my life I was at then.
