Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Innsufficent GPs in norniron

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-34157469

Read this just now in BBC News Northern Ireland that even more surgeries are expected to close next year. Some time ago my local doctor told me that several of his colleges fly to UK to work in Emergency Service Units at the week end and are well paid for it. Is it really so bad? Maybe some of the 2,000 refugees who are arriving in norniron soon will have the necessary qualifications to work as doctors and nurses.
