The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Some Sundays I watch the Mass on T.V. from St. Patrick's Church Lisburn on Church Live there.
The improvements inside are first class, except for one....that big modern crucifix hanging in front of the altar. It is so out of place with the design of the Church & it hides the Tabernacle features.
Sadly the original beautiful crafted silver Lamp is consigned to a side wall. That Lamp is part of the altar appearance as originally designed.
That new crucifix is more suited to a modern Church, where it will enhance the altar.
Hopefully it will find a new home soon. Pat
