Their son Adrian went to Hilden school with me and Ann´s brother Joseph in the early 50s, there was also a younger daughter Bernadette . They lived in Smithfield and Mona moved to Lurgan later sometime in the 60s. Adrian went from school to his great Aunt Bridget for lunch daily, she was a sister of Ginger´s father John. I remember reading the Obituary in the Tele that Mona only died last year

I remember a Gerald McDowell at The Boys school. I never knew where he lived, or if he had siblings. I knew a wee girl called Mona who worked in the reeling room at Stewart's mill, but never knew her surname, even though we once went out on a 'date'.

Re: Mcdowells of miora road lisburn

I used to do trucking to the reeling room in stewarts mill also

That period at Stewart's made a deep impression on me. Presumably you knew Billy Dunleavey, Shaun Hamilton, Davy Anderson, Kevin Toman and/orDerek Bell?
Are any still alive?

Re: Mcdowells of miora road lisburn

I wonder if there is ANYONE still alive who worked in the reeling room at Stewart's mill in 1950-53? I suppose I ought to be searching for the latest app, instead of checking obituary lists. LOL
