Dachau Concentration Camp

Heard just now on the radio today 70 years ago American troops arrived and freed the inmates in Dachau Concentration Camp. If anyone has visited it they must agree the troops were met with terrible conditions. Not far from where I live at Blutenburg Palace which König Ludwig built for his Irish born mistress, Lola Montez there is a monument erected to those inhabitants who were , shortly before the Americans arrived forced to march to another camp, a death march. There are or were photos of Dachau and the death march monument here on the site.

Re: Dachau Concentration Camp

Donald,

" Mans inhumanity to Man" is still applicable in this World yet. When will we ever learn to love one another, help one another, just be there for one another.

Remember the old days when neighbours were there for each other, the summer evening when they sat together in the sun, chatted & laughed & cried even, when sadness struck. We knew our neighbours, even ones far away.

Nowadays we don't know our neighbours, don't want to hear their woes or don't want to help out in times of trouble or illness. If we all pulled together the burden would be lighter, the family feeling would see all ills solved, nothing would be impossible.

Wars solve nothing, only lead to more wars & deaths. Pat

Pat
Though a million miles from you in terms of religious belief, your feelings match mine.
Donald and Pat, 'We' hate the Russians, who freed Otto Frank from Auschwitz and provided him with the opportunity to publish his daughter's diary.
