Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

THE FAIRY THORN

PROBABLY A LOAD OF COBBLERS BUT MANY COUNTRY FOLK BELIEVED IN IT

Re: THE FAIRY THORN

Still do Barney, around here no one would disturb a Fairy Thorn, who would take the chance of the fairies revenge. Would you.?

Even on the Motorway to Ennis, one was left standing & at great cost, motorway diverted around it, as the workmen refused to move it. It is standing proud & safe for the Fairies.

Near the same spot on a late night horses can be heard galloping across open fields there, an old battlefield. you can also feel a coldness in the car near the spot. Uxplainable.
