I got a reply, purporting to come from you. Iwas asking if you were connected to a Joe Lavery who had boxed twenty or thirty years ago, and the reply was polite but negative.

Hi Dabbler, the reply was from us. I have talking to Joe about it since and he tells me that the Joe Lavery you were enquiring about was Rab Lavery's son. This Joe Lavery still lives in Ridgeway St. in the new houses. These Laverys are not relatives of mine. Rab was a well known PT instructor in St. Josephs Hall. Not surprised his son was a boxer.
