Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Finally! Some good news. Ma is doing much better. She has a small bacterial infection which has her in quarantine at the moment, but that is small worry in lieu of everything she has gone through the last 20+ days.

She is now on less than 15% oxygen which means she is pretty much breathing on her own.

We are hoping to either have her transferred to a closer hospital or even have her home in about one weeks time.

Her left leg as a result of the stroke is still a small concern, but she is getting more and more strength in the limb every day. She will be almost under house arrest once she does get home as it will take weeks (if not months) of physiotherapy to get her to a point that she can walk comfortably again, but as I said earlier, this is all good news compared to what we thought we were up against just three weeks ago.

Ma, of course, would like to thank all that have sent well wishes or prayers her way during this time.
