Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Trad music

Where have all the flowers gone?

Pardon the pun but the 'flow' has dried up a bit.

Anyone know much about the trad music scene in and around Lisburn, particularly are there are any sessions going?

Last time I was home (2001) there was one at a pub in Aghalee, a Tuesday night, I recall. A friend from Lisburn took me there but alas, he has since passed away. Played a mean mouth organ too.

I play whistle, guitar and bodhran and sessions are fairly frequent here in Tassie, but I have little knowledge about things back home.
