The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

Slides and gliders

Our slide was down Victory St. from Cordelia Crones house past Mrs Ramseys, but it was always spoiled by Mrs Mc Clurg (******s Mom)who salted it , I guess older people then were afraid of falling. Victory St. was the greatest for the Gliders also using large ball racers from the mill, ( borrowed of course). We used to slide on one leg in a crouch position, it would be a bit hard to do now.
