For Doreen

Beano, would you give this to your wife. I have been using this as a prayer every morning recently, and I thought it might give her comfort and hope.
It is a Charles Westley hymn, but I don't know the tune.

Christ, whose glory fills the skies,
Christ, the true, the only Light,
Sun of Righteousness arise;
Triumph o'er the shades of night.
Day-spring from on high, be near;
Day-star, in my heart appear.

Dark and cheerless is the morn
Unaccompanied by thee.
Joyless is the day's return
Till thy mercy's beams I see -
Till they inward light impart,
Glad my eyes and warm my heart.

Visit then this soul of mine,
Pierce the gloom of sin and grief,
Fill me, Radiancy divine,
Scatter all my unbelief:
More and more thyself display,
Shining to the perfect day. Amen.

God bless you,
Liz

Re: For Doreen

Hi Liz,

What a wonderful hymn, and certainly one to draw comfort from. I read it through to Doreen and she loved it, she also expressed her appreciation of the spirit in which it was sent.
I would like to thank you personally Liz for your thoughts and prayers, and with Gods help Doreen will win through.

God Bless,
Beano
