The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

good to hear from you

Hi Harold, great to know you on the Forum, keep in touch, has anyone been the proud owner of a "gider", a really great machine built of wood and ball bearings, or if lucky old bike wheels? Used to go flying down Victory St. hill, much to the annoyance of Mrs Mc Clurgh.Also she hated us to make a slide on the hill in winter and came out and salted it. The sparbled boots really ripped up the great shine on the slide.
