Penny Arcade

Does anyone remember the old tin hut in the alleyway off Bow Street, opposite Antrim Street, where they used to have the slot machines? I can recall the mc. with pictures of Jane Russell, Ava Gardener, Marlyn Monroe and Eliz Taylor, and you bet on which one the flashing light would stop at.

Re: Penny Arcade

I remember the Arcade, it was owned by a huge Englishman who sat on a high bar stool and anyone who caused a disturbance or wasn,t playing the machines was pushed out with his ernormus stomach. He died very suddenly and the place was standing unused for a long time. I think it must have opened around 1959.
