Life after November 1st:

So we all know that the world ain’t gonna end on November the first but it will be a bit different. Although the Site will be closing, the Forum will still be active and free to use. Perhaps we should rename it as the KACF Blog.

We have also set up a Facebook account called “KACF Crownflats” which is free to use and we already have kids as members, so why not join us and become a “friend” and keep in touch. If you already have a Facebook account, just search for KACF Crownflats. If you don’t it is very easy to set up and use plus you can put photos on it but more importantly it’s free.

The North London Christmas Lunch is planned to go ahead in January and when the date and time are known you will all be invited to come along. (No, it’s not more Turkey, silly hats and Christmas Pud. It’s just a load of chums having lunch around Christmas time).

The Crownflats.co.uk domain name will stay active meaning you will still be able to email in anything you want to share with all the kids. Maybe you fancy putting on a reunion in your area well we can let all the kids know.


How to get onto the Forum after November 1st

How do you get onto the Forum at the moment? If you have a link directly to the Forum set up on your PC (in your Favourites or Bookmark) then you need not do anything different it will still work after the Site closes on November 1st. However, if you do not have a direct link on your PC and you go to the Forum via the current Site’s Home Page, then it will not work after the Site has closed.

From the first of November there will be a New Home Page dedicated to the Site closure and the availability of The KACF Experience CD Set. The new Home Page and will look exactly the same as the current Home Page except only certain pages will work but more importantly the Forum link button will work just as before.

Because this is a new Home Page your old favourite’s link will not work so for the first time you will have to go to www.crownflats.co.uk and there you will be able to get on through the New Home Page. Once, on the Forum you can set up a new direct link in your favourites.

The new Home Page will have 3 working link Pages; Kid’s Forum, the Kid’s Photo Album and the History of the Site Pages. However the photos on the Album will not work nor will any other Pages. This is designed to show any new comers to the Site: 1) What they missed and 2) that it’s not too late as they can get the Site on CD (The more we sell the longer we can keep the Forum going). Plus it will also give them access to the Forum.


So here we are 7 years on and facing closure of our favourite Web Site in a few weeks time. Oh well it had to happen sometime and we had a great run, met up with some old buddies and I personally have made a lot of new friends who I intend to keep in contact with.

If you want to stay in contact with anyone but do not already have their email address I suggest you send an email to friends@crownflats.co.uk and your request for their email will be sent on while we still have the email addresses.
Please don’t ask for anyone’s email address.
