Post catheter removal - urinating

I had a radical prostatectomy Jan 24th and they removed catheter on 4 days ago. A lot of times I have strong sensation to pee but at the urinal it barely comes out. Other times I have a good flow. It burns when I pee. I’m assuming this is normal but I’m asking for confirmation. How long does this last?

Re: Post catheter removal - urinating

Scott you need to visit your GP or Primary care DR. A script for a urinary alkaliser will ease the burning on peeing. If the problem persists, see your urologist.
