Re: Ultra sensitive PSA test after radical prostatectomy

HMC- I hear you are worried but it is too early yet for your concern. Your results seem pretty good to me! Remember, those ultra sensitive readings would certainly be a zero with the normal test procedure. Those minuscule readings could easily be coming from some other normal source in your body as I am told there are other VERY small sources that make PSA also. I certainly would not panic at this point! Keep watching the results but know that with this three decimal result, changes may appear more drastic than they would be using the long used standard of the two decimal system. Early detection and treatment are good to do but overtreatment is not something one wants to do either as there are almost always consequences. Jon R.
