Re: Questions - Frank

Thanks for the answers Frank. Still a little confused, so cancer cells NEVER die? That sounds like immortality! I guess that is why there is no cure for cancer, you have to physically get rid of it or it lives forever. I would guess that many years ago cancer research has gone down this line of thinking and long ago found it isn't a viable option. What a rotten unfair disease!
(Had the surgery and the radiation - 38 days, now in prayer like so many others!) Jon

Re: Questions - Frank

The hormone treatment you are getting will weaken the cancer cells and the radiation should kill off most of the cancer.

Re: Questions

Jon,

1) Higher PSA typically relates to higher volume and higher volume is almost always a more progressive cancer

2) Depends on the stage of your cancer and the mutations you have. Higher stages do have cells that are immortal. This does not mean you can't kill them with radiation and or meds.

3) PC is a very heterogeneous disease. Not all cells will be killed by AD and some can mutate to resist AD.
