Thank you for your reply John. Sorry I have taken so long to reply - I have had much on my mind of late and found myself preoccupied with "bladder spasms". Had 6 yesterday. brutal buggars those. Anyway, how long ago did you have the TURP (as they? say sometimes these don't last forever and one may have to be re-reamed. Was it hard to recover just after you had the TURP? Also some say this can be a bloody mess in the urethra. I dont' know. if you want to comment - thanks - Rick

There is a drug to reduce/eliminate bladder spasms. I was prescribed it but never used it after my prostatectomy.
