This forum is for the discussion of anything to do with Prostate Cancer.

Ron,

You can take proscar or avadart and that usually reduces the size by almost 50%.

Thanks Fred, some reports allege that although proscar and avadart are successful in reducing the size of the prostate, the risk is that the PC can get more aggressive, have you had success with these drug ??

Ron,

Those early reports on proscar and avadart have not proven out. It turned out that by reducing the size of the prostate it made it easier to find cancer on a needle biopsy. It reduced my prostate by apx 40%.
