groin pain after prostatectomy - genito-femoral neuralgia ?

Hello, I have been lurking for a while and benefited greatly from expertise and advice of numerous contributors. Thank you all. Now, I have a problem that maybe one of you guys encountered. I had robotic prostatectomy 3 weeks ago with what I believe good recovery so far of continence, resolution of incisional pain etc. However, about 10 days after procedure I started experiencing quite disturbing burning sensation in the groin are, between upper inner thigh and scrotum. This was initially bilateral and felt like skin irritation. Sensation resolved from one side but persist and gradually is getting worse on another. No skin lesions or irritation. Intense burning. My limited research led me to diagnosis of genitofemoral neuralgia - one of this nerve branches is travelling along spermatic cord and as it was dissected - possibly could have been injured. I did not find it listed as typical complication of RP. I wonder if anyone has experienced something like that and what could be expected further. My appointment with surgeon is in 4 weeks...

Age 53
Gleason 6 (3+3) apex bilaterally.
5 %,clear margins,no outside involvement,
16 lymph nodes negative.

I am pretty sure that if you phone your surgeons office and describe your symptoms you will get an appointment ASAP. After any surgery, every day should get a little better not a whole lot worse if you are healing properly.
