Re: ed

G'day Ed.

Many of us encountered strange pains after diagnosis. That was certainly true for me - and very worrying it was too as I imagined that the disease had already spread. After gaining some basic understanding of my diagnosis and heeding some good advice, I realised that these were old pains that had come and gone for years and which I had accepted as part of the ageing process and/or the results of playing contact sports when I was young. None of them had anything to do with the prostate cancer diagnosis as has been demonstrated by the fact that they still visit me 17 years later, but they haven't become worse despite the fact that I chose AS (Active Surveillance).

As to your ED concerns, therer is simply no good data that shows clearly which of the many therapy options have a better or worse long term outcome. Have you visited the TREATMENT CHOICES on the site. going carefully through that may give you a better idea of what may suit you best as far as your choice is concerned.

Good luck
Terry in Australia
