Night sweats soaking sheets and pillows. Suggestions?

Hey All,

I'm currently on some potent ADT. Zytiga AND Lupron. I'm hoping someone may have suggestions to help with coping with the sweat besides changing the sheets in the the middle of the night and morning. My latest brainstorm is buying more robes and wearing them to bed, switching robes as I soak them instead of having to wake up my wife. Funnily I do not have hot flashes but sweat profusely. I do take megestrol 20 mgs twice a day.

Anyone tried wicked sheets?

Best,

Dean Gudmundson

Re: Night sweats soaking sheets and pillows. Suggestions?

I assume you live in the USA, home of some excellent cotton. Unfortunately here in the UK it is almost impossible to find pure cotton bedding, such is the obsession with "easy-care" fabrics. My experience is that I almost always sweat in polycotton, bedclothes or clothing, so I avoid it. If you aren't already making full use of your native product, I recommend it.

Another two thoughts occur: sweating is minimised if excess weight is removed. If you can keep your Body Mass Index below 30, and ideally under 25, that should help. Second, you may need to sleep deeper that you do currently. Have you tried relaxation techniques to deliver deeper sleep (so that you don't wake up so easily)?

Best wishes
