Newbie Introduction and question

Hello folks

I have been battling prostate cancer for about 2 years- age 45 gleason 8,metastasis to ribs and pelvis, psa at diagnosis 300, was started lupron, and psa dropped to appx 4. about 4 mos. ago my psa started to rise- 37, and they started me on bicalutamide, psa dropped to 27, but last psa was 37, so bicalutamide was stopped,Recently started on zometa, and started bad bone pain, and have been on morphine for pain. Does anyone have suggestions for pain and nausea, as the morphine really makes me feel hung over, and sleepy? Also I lost my insurance, and life savings, in order to continue treatment, luckily I am native American, so I do receive limited treatment from tribe. My doc suggests spot radiation, to relieve pain, but my hospital doesn't provide radiation. Any suggestions. Thx and bye

Re: Newbie Introduction and question

My husband got ONE shot of Zometa and it really knocked him back and he was really sick. He refused further shots and is currently at City of Hope and is getting Zytega and doing ok. he continues the Lupron every 3 months.

His pain medication has been Percoset. You should review this information with your doctor.
