i got a 4month lupron shot yesterday june 11th i got the higher dose as im going out of state was that a mistake they had no 3 month shots in stock what should i expext i had the nonthly shots before not too bad but now wil it be worse any body with experience with this 4 month shot your help would be appreciated i thank everybody for all their input thanks john q
As you know everyone is different. I'm not sure there is much difference between a 3-month shot and a 4-month shot. I was on the 4-month Lupron shot for two years. After the first shot I started experiencing hot flashes within the first month. That was my worst side effect. Although I tried to watch my weight I still slowly put on extra pounds during the two years. I also lost all the hair on my arms, legs and chest. I'm sure those on the 3-month shot have experienced a lot of the same side effects.
Aloha John q,
I put up with the 4 mth shots for a year, then asked to stop. The usual side affects plus it became painful (hips) to walk or ride my bicycle. Needed several cortizone shots, doc giving the shots indicated that muscle tissue is sometimes distroyed at the shot injection site.
Hope this does not happen to you, everyone is different,
Joe (from Hawaii)
