YANA April 2013 E-Letter

I have got the April E-Letter out a little earlier this month as ths time next week I will be in the Land Of The Long White Cloud aka New Zealand. We plan to hire a campervan and meetup with our sone who is already there with his family. It will either be a blast or a disaster - but it is always worth trying somthing new, even when you're in your 70s!!

This month's E-Letter isE-Letter #16 I have included a piece showing just how little training some doctor's get on new machinery - or at least as it is alleged in a court case. Truly a focus on why it is so important to check on the experience of anyone carrying out any of the therapies.

All the best

Re: YANA April 2013 E-Letter

This E-Letter briefly mentioned the passing of Dennis Peterson. I wasn't aware of Dennis and hadn't previously read his story. Although I have read plenty of stories, there are only so many you can read.

However with the prompt from this E-Letter, I decided to read Dennis's story. He was born just two months earlier than me in 1945 and was diagnosed in the same year back in 2006. However, despite these similarities, there is nothing else I could relate to. Dennis had the most miserable seven years one could imagine. While I was here having a dream run, there was Dennis on the other side of the world enduring the most unimaginable hardship, and I wasn't aware of it. I could have been Dennis and he could have been me. But it is just a case of the cards you are dealt.

It makes one realise that, however unfortunate you believe your circumstances are, there is someone else who is doing it much tougher. Dennis was just such a case.

Rest in Peace. These much used words are particularly relevant to him. Rest in Peace Dennis.

Brian in NSW.
