Gleason 9 Initial PSA 95 Stage T3B. Diagnosed May 2008 Treatment Zoladex. PSA dropped to a nadir of .2 and stayed there for 18 months. In the past 12 months has gone .3 .4 now .8. I don't some how think this is a psa bounce with 3 rises. Next test in few weeks.
The 'bounce' is normally only associated with radiatin therapies, not ADT.
The chances are that your current ADT is failing to manage the disease, which may have achieved a degree of androgen independence. It may be a bit early to be too worried - seems you have been using Ultra-sensitive PSA tests and you might like to check out that link.
I am actually Alan's very worried wife. Was told by oncologist and urologist that Hormone therapy was the only option. When I have talked to him about condsidering Radiotherapy he just doesn't want it, due to side effects. Not the sexual side effects as with absolutely no libido any way there is no urge so that wouldn't matter. It's the incontinence he couldn't handle. Believe me I know him so well and he couldn't handle that. I wish he would try it but I can't make him. I think his battle is about to start.
