Zoladex!!!!!!!!

I would never tell him........snap out of it, I do understand the depression part after watching our mother die of lung cancer at a young age. Last month was his 5th injection of the hormone treatment, he is just able to live at all. I feel very sad watching him suffer so much, but at the same time if he stops the treatment he will die much quicker, it is a no win situation.

Re: Zoladex!!!!!!!!

Angie,
I think that SSRI anti-depressants will improve the depression and reduce or eliminate the hot flashes. Probably a good idea for your brother to try it. Your oncologist might even prescribe them or he/she will refer your brother to a psychologist or psychiatrist. I think most cancer centers have these people on staff just to deal with all the psychological problems that go with cancer and it's treatments.
