This forum is for the discussion of anything to do with Prostate Cancer.
There are only four rules:

  • No fundraisers, no commercials (although it is OK to recommend choices of treatment or medical people based on your personal research; invitations to participate in third-party surveys are also acceptable, provided there is no compensation to YANA);

  • Opinions are OK, but please provide as much factual evidence as possible for any assertions that you are making

I would also not rush to any hasty decisions. There are a variety of modalities that are explained very well on Yana. Take your time and research.You have more time than some surgeons or radiologists woul have you believe.I chose proton beam because much of the anectotal information(check out stories on Yana) indicates far fewer side effects. I am 9 months post-treatment(gleason 7), psa down to .8 without side effects. Consider all of your options.
