Friend very scared - strange symptoms

My buddy is booked for a Biopsy when he gets back from a golf trip in Arizona. He has had a bad urinary infection for 2 months ( urine almost green ) and has had 2 doses of Antibiotics - the second a much stronger one. His doctor did a DRE and felt a large lump between the two nodules. His PSA is only 7. I'm trying to see if he has a base # to work from.
Does this sound like it could be Prostate Cancer - or just a bad infection? I don't recognize the symptoms. Thanks.
Bobbyboy

Re: Friend very scared - strange symptoms

With this info, too early to tell Bobby. The PSA is out of the normal range and the positive DRE could mean something ... unlike the urinary infection.

The biopsy will give you (us) more definitive details to comment on.

Wish him luck.

Re: Friend very scared - strange symptoms

Thanks for the comment Phred. I'm guessing it's a big infection thing but like you say only the Biopsy will reveal the truth. Weather still really coool here in Canada.
