Re: adding testosterone dangerous?

Thanks Terry. I think after reading your e-mail and some reading I have done I'll take it sporadically. I see my Urologist in June for my annual and will see what he thinks. Our winter here in Canada has been cold and gloomy and dark so a bit of testosterone seems to be a way to keep spirit up until spring.

Re: adding testosterone dangerous?

Simply taking testosterone w/o testing to see if yours is low may not help the symptoms or deal with the problem. If your testosterone is normal and you supplement with synthetic, you might end up with a whole bag of problems a couple years down the line. Go see your doctor way before June. At least its a good excuse to make your way out onto the Tundra!

Make sure if it's gloomy to get adequate VitD and calcium - ask your doc. Also get your self a couple of 40w full spectrum flourescents and use them for several hours/day in the room you are in. Far northern climates can be hard on you this time of year. - p(Alaska, USA)

Re: adding testosterone dangerous?

Thanks for the solid advice Pat. The closest I got to Alaska was while fishing in the Queen Charlotte islands. I could see Alaska in the distance I believe. My urologist is very popular and booked up solid so I'll have to wait till my June appt. There is a concoction of herbs that are advertised alot here in Canada called Manhood Complex. Supposedly invented by some chaps from Australia. I never thought that I would be in the boat of actually thinking about trying these kinds of things but my sex life and sex drive have been disappointing since my radical - blue pills help somewhat. There are flashes of hope but I'm not quite back. Oh by the way, please stop sending us your northern snow Pat. We've got all that we can handle as it is. Good luck on your P/C journey.

Re: adding testosterone dangerous?

I have had radikal surgery ca 2 yrs ago and have low testosterone. 6 months ago started with Testogel and feel happier and stronger. My ED is a little better but not really noticable. Check with your urologist

Re: adding testosterone dangerous?

Thanks Lars. I'll ask him about this drug possibly for me at my next appointment. I've started using my cross training exercise machine now during the week ( in front of t.v. ) and stopped drinking wine ( except on week ends ) to see if that helps also. I do feel perkier. Going to an indoor golf show today. Thanks again.
