Re: No more meds

My husband has been on low-dose Ketoconazole since July 2008 with very good results. Some doctors feel that Ketoconazole is too toxic but my husband has had very few if any side effects.

I think you are very right to consider trying Keto before moving to chemo or a clinical trial. Perhaps it is time for a second opinion if your doctor will not discuss this option. Good luck.

Re: No more meds

THANKS SHARON. I just placed a call to my doc. I hope she authorizes the rx:)

BTW: Has your husband had chemo?

Re: No more meds

Amador,
Can you say more about your situation. What and when was your diagnosis. Some history on treatment to date.

Re: No more meds

Diagnosed 08 stage 4. Started on Lupron, then flutomide, tried casodex for 1 month, but will be off of it because psa is still rising. psa at diagnosis 98, current psa is 10.
