Re: New York Times piece on Da Vinci

I don't know how many of you went along to this piece or noticed this:

Last year, 73,000 American men — 86 percent of the 85,000 who had prostate cancer surgery — had robot-assisted operations, according to the robot’s maker, Intuitive Surgical, the only official source of such data.

The manufatcturer is said to be an official source - makes you realise how many times the drug manufacturers may be the "official source" of the data used in studies
