I had the exact same diagnosis this year. I had three different pathology reports and the third one identified a small lypmh node involvement. I had my first PSA test at 6 weeks and it came back undetectable. However, the urologist recommended radiation and 2-3 years on hormone therapy.
We were uncertain about this treatment and went to the University of Washington for another opinion. The doctor there came back with essentially the same recommendation. The reason is that the seminal vesicle involvement and in case the lymph node indicated that adjuvant treatment was needed now rather than waiting. I had 8 weeks of radiation treatment which ended in September. I'm also on Lupron and have been for 6 months now.

There was a recent study just release from Germany and Holland that shows a high probablity of lymphnode involvement because of seminal vesicle invasion. The problem is that the lymph nodes sampled during surgery are not the lymphnodes that get infected through the seminal vesicles. The only test that will show this is a Combidex MRI which is only available in Holland.
