Re: Soy Milk

Hi Jen,

I have to agree with Josh.
Find out all you can about phytoestrogens.
I have been on a dairy-free diet for four and a half years, and soya milk has replaced dairy milk for me.

Every meal I eat is packed with phytoestrogens and my results since the poor prognosis in April 2005 have surprised the gloomy urologist who first diagnosed me, and my oncologist (who insists I don't change a darn thing in my diet!).

Very best wishes,

George

Re: Soy Milk

This is a fascinating subject as I live in China and consume a lot of soy products. I may just try drinking Soy Milk regularly rather than occasionally. I am still exploring options and will be seeing a prominent Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner this afternoon as well.

Re: Soy Milk

Hi Terry,

Soon after diagnosis I came across the work of Prof Jane Plant. Her breast cancer had returned for a 5th time and she was was given only months to live.

She and her husband (also a scientist) were discussing their past work in China when they realised the significance of the traditional Chinese diet and the lower rates of BCa and PCa in China.

She immediately gave up all dairy produce and adopted a new diet. That saved her life, and in turn, I am convinced it helped to save the lives of many others, mine too, as I was totally convinced by her theories in the books she went on to write.

Also, Prof. Colin T Campbell devoted a lifetime to the sudy of the Chinese diet, and his book 'The China Study' is the best I've read on the subject.

The sad thing is, China now seems to be adopting the 'fast-food' unhealthy Western diet and no doubt BCa and PCa rates will be rising.

All the best,

George
