This forum is for the discussion of anything to do with Prostate Cancer.

There is no certainty as to which organs in the body can produce the protein labelled PSA. It is thought that the adrenal glands might be involved and might be the main source, but at least one study in women, who also express measurable PSA, implied that this was not the source.

The amount produced outside the prostate gland is very small indeed, but is enough to register in the lowere levels of the ultra-sensitive tests.
