cannot pee

after having his prostate removed on wed via robotic surgery my husband hasnot been able to pee. his kidneys are shutting down and he may have to go on dialysis. donot know what to do. can anyone help?

Re: cannot pee

Aloha Barbed,
Hope you are in contact with your doctor, if not go to ER NOW!!!

Re: cannot pee

Barbed: surely so soon after his op your husband should still have the catheter in situ? Also is he not also still in hospital? (Op on 23: your post 26).

Could just be a blocked catheter, but like Joe says, get straight back on it with ER if he is out of hospital now.

Re: cannot pee

He may not be in the hosp., I was discharged about 24 hours after my operation.

Re: cannot pee

Thank you for your replies. My husband's prostate was 105cc, very large. I THINK TOO LARGE FOR DA VINCI SURGERY. During surgery his blood pressure dropped and his kidneys shut down, he now is in ICU with a breathing tube and on dialysis. I'm posting this for other men considering da vinci surgery who have large prostates. Please keep him in your prayers.
