After reading thousands of posts on different boards,

it seems to me that the higher Gleason scores 7-8-9 commonly have a much higher % of bladder/continence and E.D. problems than the lower scores. These issues seem to occur more often, even when the C.A. is confined within the prostate capsule. I can understand the higher/ faster relapse time because the C.A. is more aggressive, but am having trouble understanding why the seemingly much higher continence + e.d. % statistics when it's contained or very nearly contained. My Blue collar guess is that those of us that carried a #7 #8 or higher # around for years, were actually weakened from the battle that we didn't know was going on and that alone made our plumbing and general strength less, and thereby a tougher road to navigate. Generally P.C.A. is without symptoms except for bladder urgency, but, I'm not so sure. Any opinions?

Re: After reading thousands of posts on different boards,

I think you are making an assumption that may not be correct. I have only seen studies on side affects that relate to treatment options not gleason scores. It may be that people with higher G scores or those with side affects post more on websites. To patients with low gleasons and sucessful procedures, PC is just a bump in the road of life and they are not on websites.
